“Bruno Patino, 57, is the CEO of the French-German TV channel ARTE since 2021. He is also Associate Professor at Sciences Po and an analyst of digital society .
Previously, he has been Chief Content Officer of Arte France after having hold several key positions in media and digital media, among them foreign correspondent for Le Monde in Chile, CEO, publisher and editor of Le Monde interactif from 2000 to 2008 (lemonde.fr), Publisher and CEO of Telerama and Vice CEO of Le Monde Group, Director of France Culture, and Senior Executive Vice President, Channels Programs commissioning, Strategy & Digital of France Télévisions.
He has been Dean of Sciences Po School of Journalism from 2007 to 2021, and now associated professor.
He is the author of several books on media and digital, among them: Une presse sans Gutenberg, (Grasset 2005) ; La Condition Numérique, )Grasset 2012) ; Télévisions, Grasset 2016 ; La civilisation du poisson rouge, (Grasset 2019) ; Tempête dans le bocal, (Grasset 2022).
He has also led several French official missions on digital turnaround (“Le devenir Numérique de l’édition” 2007 or “Etats généraux de la presse”, 2008). He’s an Oxford Reuter’s Institute fellow.
He is a Sciences Po, and ESSEC graduate, holds an M.A from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a Political Sciences Ph.D from Université Paris III. He’s also an INSEAD AMP alumni.
