Bertrand Perez

Bertrand Perez is the CEO of the Web3 Foundation where he is responsible for controlling and directing its day-to-day operations. He has 30 years of engineering and technical management experience in payments and telecoms. Bertrand has led geographically dispersed engineering and operations teams of all sizes up to 300-plus staff within large multi-national organizations as well as smaller teams within early stage start-ups. In his last tenure, he was COO at the Diem Association where he initiated the Diem stablecoin project. Prior to his time at Diem, Bertrand’s previous roles included executive and senior technical management positions leading engineering teams at Paypal and Ericsson, as well as mobile-media start-ups such as Zong and Index Multimedia. Bertrand holds a Masters in computer science.
