French presidential election 2022: the tech debate

Technology is increasingly interfering in the daily lives of French and European citizens, who are concerned about its growing influence. There is growing pressure on governments to act in favor of greater transparency and privacy in the digital industry. In the run-up to the French presidential election this spring, the presidential candidates’ digital advisors will share their views and proposals for the future of digital policy and internet governance.

About the McCourt Institute

Launched in early 2022 with founding partners Sciences Po in Paris and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., the McCourt Institute aims to ensure that digital governance is prioritized in the development of new technology and embedded in the next generation of the web.
